Perfect Reflection is the 2015 Kingston Town Classic Winner

December 7th, 2015

Three-year-old Perfect Reflection has stamped herself as a serious racing prospect at Ascot Racecourse over the weekend; breaking through for a maiden win at the highest level in the featured 2015 Group 1 Kingston Town Classic (1800m).

A heavy storm hit the Ascot course only hours prior to the 2015 Kingston Town Classic and punters reacted to the natural phenomenon; rallying around Perfection Reflection and seeing her into favourite’s odds of $4.40 at jump.

Experiencing a good start, jockey William Pike elected to settle Perfect Reflection within the talent-rich field; allowing the race’s early leaders to set a reasonable tempo from the outset.

Pressing forward rounding onto the final straight, the More Than Ready filly was offered a clear racing line and immediately charged forward; maintaining a strong enough sprint to beat two-time Group 1 champion Delicacy and rank outsider Dark Musket who finished in the minors.

Pike delivered a typically polished performance aboard Perfect Reflection to win the Kingston Town Classic and was quick to lay all the praise on the three-year-old in the success.

“I went too early but she was bolting and going so well,” Pike told the media.

“I had no hesitation in picking her as my ride.”

In taking out the 2015 Kingston Town Classic, Perfect Reflection has extended her impressive career start to five wins from as many competitive appearances.

Debuting for success in a pair of minor sprinters over 1200m through September and early October, Perfect Reflection made a successful transition to black type racing in taking out the Listed Belgravia Stakes (1200m) on October 21st; repeating the dose in the Group 3 WA Champion Fillies Stakes (1600m) in her only other start prior to the Kingston Town Classic.

Talented import Magic Artist failed to get into a position to challenge in the 2015 Kingston Town Classic and beat only a handful of runners home.

Punters who backed Perfect Reflection to win the 2015 Kingston Town Classic with leading online bookie have been paid out on generous $4.40 odds for success!
